About Liturgy Ribbons

A free, independent aid to praying the Liturgy of the Hours.

About · Updated November 1, 2026

Liturgy Ribbons is a free guide to where the ribbons go in the four-volume Liturgy of the Hours.

Bill Brown is not a priest or a liturgist, just a Catholic trying to pray with the Church each day. He built Liturgy Ribbons after his own struggle to learn the Liturgy of the Hours, to help others do the same.

Bill lives and works in Miami. He is a husband and father, and a real estate development professional. You can connect with him on X at @BillBrownAMDG.

What this site is

  • Free. There is nothing to pay for and nothing to sign up for.
  • Independent. It is not affiliated with any publisher, diocese or app.
  • Not official. It is a personal aid to prayer, not a liturgical book or an ordo. Where it and your breviary or your diocese differ, follow them.
  • Not a store. Nothing is sold here.

The calendar follows the United States (USCCB) calendar. The guide points you to the right section of the book rather than to page numbers, and it does not reproduce the text of the Office.
